291 Front Street
The year the motel's first floor went up. The cabins behind it are older, and they started as a shipwreck.
Read the Curley's story1938
Curley and Thora Couvelier bought what is now Curley's as their home. Curley worked as a local logger, like many Sekiu residents at the time, and their children went to the school on the hillside above the property.

1940s
A ship ran aground near Sekiu Point. Curley salvaged lumber from the wreck and built several cabins on the property, rented to the logging crews working in the area. Those are the cabins you can still book today.
1954
As Sekiu became known for big Chinook salmon, more resorts appeared along Front Street. The motel's first floor went up with eight units, every one with electric appliances, proudly advertised on the sign out front.

1958
Four years later a second storey was added, and the whole family kept busy as the business grew.

Curley's sits central to Neah Bay, Ozette, Cape Flattery and Lake Crescent, so a day out never doubles back.
Beachcombing and tidepooling start at the property. On the seasonal negative tides the pools fill with stars and urchins; call us for dates.

The office and shop open daily in peak season, for the first coffee before the boat goes out and the sack lunch that goes with it.
